Default Love my bike!

So I've only had my 954 for a week & 1/2, but I can honestly say I love it. It's the most comfortable sport bike I've ever ridden. I know that gets tossed around all over, but it's true. I couldn't go even 20 minutes on my old 900 without my back hurting. But on this, I was cruising for about an hour and felt great! Hasn't been too hot out, but the bike seems to top out at 220 degrees, then back down to 185 while moving.

Now I'm going to do a little maintenance. Guy I bought from said he did the oil 400 miles ago, but just to be on the safe side I'm gonna change it, along with flushing the coolant since that has probably never been done. I know people swear by oil they have had good experience with, my old one I just used that Honda GN4 oil, but wondering if anyone has used Mobil 1? That's what I use in my truck, thinking of trying it in the bike. Then flushing radiator with Engine Ice, it might not need it but that stuff made a world of difference in my 900 so I want to see what it does here.

If you are not shy from using Mobil 1 synthetic (car) oil. Than you should not be concern of using HP4M (with Moly) because most if not all synthetic car oil does contain moly. I have used HP4M on my CBR & felt immediate HP increase, shifting is smooth....defintely not a con, but myth says moly cause clutch slippage...if cost is not an issue, Amsoil is definitely a great choice... CBR manual calls for HP4....I'll be using HP4M until my slipper
clutch starts slipping LOL...

Research HP4M & be confuse of all comments...myth or not?

thanks

Be careful using engine ice or water wetter with just distilled water. It will freeze if it gets cold where you live and crack the block. Using either with antifreeze is defeating the purpose, so don't waste your money. Plain distilled water will cool better than anything, the water wetter is there to lubricate things and prevent corrosion.

Yea I'm not concerned about that "Moly" myth, never even heard of it until today. I'll be using either Mobil 1 or Amsoil, a good full synthetic is all I ask for. Any special filter for bikes or just the standard Honda one?

For the radiator I'd drain it completely and fill 100% with engine ice. It helped my 900 a lot, heard it might not make too big of a difference in the 954 but might as well. It gets cold here in the winter so I won't be adding any water, just antifreeze.
