I live close to Milwaukee. All I see everyday is a barrage of Harley-Davidsons. Next week is the big 105th anniversary. I've seen a ton of bikes with plates like that. Don't know if they are getting tickets, but I guess I will find out. The cops out here would probably tell me to remove it first before they would ticket me. I guess I'll take my chances for a while.

I've been using this chain lubricant from switerzland called motorex. That white stuff on my chain is actually the lubricant bonding to the chain. So, I have not cleaned it off.

You should clean your chain, lube it, and check tension every 200 miles or so to keep it optimal.
