+1 On the dyno tune w/ power commander, pipe and air filter for more power.You shouldnt need a whole lot more to be able to keep up with 1000's but that should do the the trick. The only place you would be down on power I think is if you run to redline constantly and just drag race or something. The rest does come down to rider capability.

 

yeah that's what i thauth .. originally i had the choise between a cbr1000 2004 and the cbr 954 i decided to buy .. i just think thebike looks meaner .. i think i made the right choice (+ the 954 was cheaper) .. my friend whoowned both the 900rr and the 954 tells me it's like night and day .. so i'm sure imma enjoy that bike alot more then i did the 900rr but ill have to wait tillthef-ing snow melts to feel my new ride.

 

The best mod after Superbike school is to get a pro to rebuild your suspension.

The 954 front end is dangerous if you push it thru the twisties on C grade roads. Believe me.
