Hey i just got a used Ohlin's damper, it's either off of a 929 or a 954 but i'm gonna use it on my 954. The damper has one bracket with it but i need one more i believe that connects to the triple tree. Please look at the pic and let me know if i'm correct, and also does anyone know where i can get the appropriate brackets that i need?

 

You need to figure out what bike it's from.
For the 929 it's damper # SD144
For the 954 it's damper # SD159
Both have a 63mm stroke and the both look alike last I checked..
Contact Ohlins, tell them you need the tripple tree bracket for the appropriate damper.

 

do they sell the brackets seperately? Also, i have one bracket as you can see in the pics but how do i tell if this is one of the correct brackets?

 

well, if the damper came off the 929/954 chances are that you have one of the right brackets.. I'd just try to contact Ohlins or the local dealer and check it out.

 

As far as I know, any dampner will work you just need the right mount bracket. But thenagain I dont have one so....

 

Yeah, I don't have a damper and don't see a use for it...
