Is a 520 conversion recommended for a bike this powerful?

 

I have a 520 on mine and it made a nice improvement. I went down a tooth in the front but I notice a much smoother feel. I put a vortex quick accel kit on mine which is all 520 and aluminum sprockets stock rear (43) and 15T front (-1) Nice kit.

 

if I can find a steel 520 sprocket for the rear, I will consider it. My F4i tore up the 520 Vortex sprockets pretty fast. The 954rr would eat them up I would imagine.

Also, what 520 chain is strong enough to take the torque of the 954rr without stretching out like crazy?

 

You can get the quick accell kit which is -1 front and stock 43 rear with all steel sprockets and its a little cheaper than the aluminum, It was out of stock and I was in bad need so I bought the aluminum to get the bike back on the road. I havent had any problem with the 520 stretching and my bike makes close to your HP. I wouldnt worry about it. I agree on the steel, and a 520 should hold good just keep it adjusted correctly and lube it.
