hot swing arm

so, i noticed my swingarm gets real hot to the touch down near where it meets the axle. i realize heat will travel through the frame, but the swingarm is noticablly cooler near the front, and hot to the touch back at the sprocket.
am i over thinking this? my chain is properly adjusted and lubed, i dont notice any wobble when i play with the back tire. but im positive it is getting hotter than i remember.
i did lay it down recently, but nothing to bad. the impact was on the tank anyway.
any ideas? wheel bearings? wheel alignment?
how hot does your swing arm get after you dog the **** out of your bike?

i would agree with pimpncbr954s. there is gonna be friction no matter what and the swingarm is all metal for strength and prolly to dissapate the heat from the motion of the wheel turning is an added benefit. how hot does your rear wheel get??? that could be contributing to the heat.
try checking the bottom of the front forks next time you ride and see if they are warm too.

lol, thats the first thing my buddy asked me, and yes i checked the "drivers side" opposite from exhuast...
but that brings up a good point, i wonder if its not just heat from the sprocket or wheel.
im going to check the alignment tonight, if its on, im going to go ahead and take the rear wheel off and check everything.
i still want someone to grab their swing arm down by the axel and tell me how hot it feels.
