OUCH. check ebay for a faring, also check here in the for sale section. Something else not mentioned to get, but seems to me a great idea would be to buy a couple of bike stands, used to lift the bike for oil changes, etc. They are a great investment, and make working so much easier, cost about $200 for both. Example below.

 

Sucks! Glad you're pretty much okay... fairings can be replaced for fairly cheap ... check ebay!

 

The mirror also broke off but thats an easy fix. I will look into buying one here or from ebay. And the stands are a good idea. But once he gets home he can have fun doing all oil changes. I love the bike but I have learned where my place is on it ( the back). Maybe he will be so happy when he gets home that he will buy me my own. But smaller and with a lowering kit oh and pink. I have been asking for 2 years now.

it sucks because I just put them on the day I did the oil! I was able to get just the left one today and got it out on in a few mins. But thanks for the offer! How is your bike recovering?

 

Waiting for 1 last stinkin part and its rideable. Have a few minor things on back order, but nothing i cant ride without. Should have some pics tomorrow, i changed the bike up a bit while it was apart

also a cd manual or haynes maual would be great to get with the bike, also it sounds like you need a torc wrench, on bikes when you work on them most people over tighten bolts this is bad because the bolts are usually a softer compound ( they can strip or break off easally ) I usually lock tight most of my bolts (red is strong, Blue is weaker) and Dont worry my wife accidently knocked my bike over two days after I had it and then after I fixed a couple scratches and things she almost ran me over pulling out of our driveway, no harm no foul just laugh about it now! The intention you have is gonna get across to him no matter what extra goodies come with the bike so relax & enjoy

 

Well that's cool, my parents just got a house in southfork. They were telling me that there is alot of nice roads to take the bike on when we come to visit.

Well hitman it sounds like you have a pretty cool wife!!! When my husband and I got together we would ride with 4 other couples, all of us have now gotten married and my husband and i are the only one's that still ride. All the other guys were forced to give it up. I don't get it they all say that thye don't want their husband to get hurt but yet they are all marines that go to fight wars.
