Got Owned Sunday!
Jeep Cherokee pulled off the shoulder of the road..........thought it was to let me by. I had been following for about 3 miles. 35mph twisties, double yellow. I wouldnt pass due to poor visibilty of oncoming traffic as well as the double yellows. I watched his brake lights glow and proceeded to push on. It was at this moment my world was about to change. The Jeep pulled a U-turn across my path. I had less than 20 feet to bleed off some speed! Tapped the rear brake and decided not to introduce my head to his tranny in a low side. Grabbed the front brake and put the 954's nose pointing at pavement. Kept it vertical until the point of impact. At that moment grabbed all the brake I could and let nature take its course! I can still see in my mind............the 2 little girls in the backseat looking through the glass at me. I was not going to end up in their lap as a corpse! I tucked my head and tried to clear the top of the vehicle. The impact shot my scooter and myself on a straight path to the stars! 25-30 feet of clean, clear oxygene between me and my LZ! An average olympic score of 9.9 was handed out by the judges on my landing!
The rest is history. A ride in the ambulance and an overnight stay at my local hospital to nurse a shattered clavical from my cross check to the Jeep and 80plus internal sutures as well as 19 staples to close the wound to my right shin.

The morale of the story: I had alot of luck and good saftey gear on! This is how I gave Death the big Ol' Teabag!
Ride hard! Ride Safe! .........and never trust vehicles with 4 tires! The bike faired well through the crash. Very minimal damage. Estimate isnt done yet. But the scooter will be ready before me when this is all said and done! Be careful out their boys! Give your girl a pat on the *** and a kiss before you go out the door! You may not come home.

.................I forgot to add! Held a chew in mouth through the whole incident..............without swallowing! That alone is a miracle!

Man, I'm glad you came out of that alive. Something about those Jeep drivers, I had one almost take me out in a parking lot (head-on), he was looking off to his right, my left, after he made the turn to come down theaisle I was on. I was about to give him a blast when he noticed me and jerked the wheel to the right with the most scared look on his face. Cagers... When will they wake up?
I'll be honest! I was afraid to open my eyes. I thought I would see my lowerbody ahalf a mile down the road and a little alien thingy pop out of my chest! I hurt so bad that I knew a was still here and kicking! The driver was in worse shape than me. He was in shock! Never saw me coming. I was happier than hell just to be there kicking back on the pavement! Everybody at the scene was the best pit crew I ever had! I was living in the lap of luxury until those EMT's put me on a backboard! Those things blow! It sounds stupid. But my ride took the hit a hell of alot better than I did. Im pretty jacked up to get her in, repaired and ready again! I didnt want to loose my 954! I dont want a new 1000.

.......Just my old 54.
