Talking Full Yosh Installation

Hello my 54' brothers,

It's been a while since I posted, but I come to you now with much excitment. I am finally completing the final few mods on my bike that have been waiting so long. I just installed my GPR stabilizer and could not be happier with it. I am now getting ready to install my full yosh system and PCIII that I ordered 6 monthes ago. However, I have a few questions before starting this process.

First, will I have to replace the gaskets at the heads when I install the new exhaust?

Second, I am planning on just uploading the full yosh map into my PCIII from the dynojet website. However, how much difference is this from getting a custom map after putting the bike on the dyno?

Third, does being up two on my rear sprocket need to be factored into my PCIII?

Sorry for the long post, but I'm really excited about this. Thanks for any advice!

Well, I'm bummed that no one posted on my thread, but I am happy to say that we figured it out and I now have a full yosh system with PCIII. The power difference is very noticable, but more than anything, the smoothness of the throttle is unreal. The bike has really come to life now and I could't be happier.

sorry im late!

you should replace the gaskets a precausion just in case your may be damaged and cause a leak of cool air on hot valves but if yours are fine then i wouldnt worry about it

the difference in a custom map and a uploaded one for your bike is the level of perciseness, the ones on the site are for a generic 954 with similar mods, not your specific 954 with the exact same mods and milage and so forth. think of the site map being at 85-90% and a custom map as 100%

and as far as the sprocket goes that a no, usually people use a sprocket change to make up for the flat spot sometimes associated with going to a full system in the lower rpms

Thanks nibb, I appreciate the clarification. Fortunantly, we did replace the gaskets and all is well. I hope to get the biked dynoed soon and get that custom map created.
