Default fuel consumption data

I heard a rumor that Australian and European 954s have a fuel consumption feature on the dash. Supposedly in the bottom left corner of the dash telling you km/L. Has anyone seen this feature or know how to activate it? I thought setting the clock was hard!

I don't see how it's possible (954 never knows how much gas you put into it), but maybe one of the euro guys knows something about it. I don't see how this would have stayed a secret for over 10 years.

Yes it actually has. Don't know about the australian model but european and germany models have it. We had lot of laughs about it whit my friends. It is activated by other of the buttons were the clock is set pushing it to bottom until the consumption meter appears on the dash. Don't remember which one thought. I have it allways on. It shows how many kilometers you will get whit 1 liter.

It comes on from pushing the right button long enough. Allso whit the H.I.S.S. models the the H.I.S.S. light can be set to blink like a fake alarm. It is turned on/off by pushing bout buttons so that the clock adjust starts blinking and then turn the lock to off position before 10 seconds have passed.

Wow! That's crazy. I had no idea about that! Good call Mika. That's actually a nice little handy tool to have.

(and the fake alarm is cool too!)

I find it quite amusing that a liter bike has a consuption meter
My friends occasionally remember to ask me what was my mileage after we have been riding twisties

Too bad it doesn't work on US models.

Well Mika, I tried to get it to appear for an hour or so without success, all the right control button will do is kph/mph and celcious/Fahrenheit, I held the button with the bike idling in neutral and in gear on the rear stand @ 20-30kph. Set the clock and held it afterward. Maybe after 10 years it doesn't work, or my dash has been replaced? I've found another Australian owner who has it working on his, but I'm F****ED if I can activate it on mine
