Default forks oil

can someone tell me how much fork oil does 2002 954 take. and is there a special kind of oil thanks

Honda recommends 10wt fork oil.Measure to 130mm from the top of fork leg spring out fork compressed.

There is a complete fork rebuild write up in the 954 "How To" section. Pro Honda SS-8 10wt works great. Fluid amount varies but with a complete rebuild and good cleaning it should hold 17.3oz +/- .08oz. The measurement of 73mm is more important.

Where did you come up with 130mm? The service manual states 73mm or 2.9in.

I stand corrected,I have done so many forks lately that I confused the 954 with another bike.Although racetech recommends 110mm if you change your fork springs.
