Is there any reason why I should not do the flapper mod? I have read that several people are just pushing the flapper down under the rubber intake gaskets. Is this the best way to do it? Sorry for the redundancy, but I have used the search option and can not come up with a concrete answer. This is on an 02 954.

just do the mod... no downsides at all as long as you know how to get the gas tank up
