Also need to get in some track time at some point. Not to race; just to get aquainted with the bike and develop a comfort level.

I got mine yesterday--I bought it on ebay and got it home and had to take it for a spin. It has been a long time since I did a power wheelie as I am almost 40 and have been riding Harleys for the last 10 years. All I could say was HOLY ****!!!!

 

That is a very fine bike. I know Pete (flykitty) well. I've bought from him before. He may be pricey but absolutely worth it because of the speicimens he gets his hands on.

 

That's one prime-time 954. Congrats. And I thought my new purchase was stock (only a Yoshi bolt-on). Can't wait to pick her up Thursday.

 

Pete is a GREAT guy to deal with and he definitely had a LOT of beautiful bikes at his place. I didn't mind the price at all. He even let me borrow his loading ramp because mine had not arrived yet.

I had it out for about an hour on Saturday and still can't wipe the smile off my face. It is just too much damn fun!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

New jacket and gloves show up this week. Do you guys have any recommendations on footwear? I don't want a full racing boot, just something that offers protection and is comfortable for the street. I looked in the riding gear section, but didn't come up with a lot of information on boots.

 

Welcome to the board. I got mine a few months ago and have been riding as much as possible. Saturday took it for another spin and took her to 130, handles like a dream. SWEET. Nice bike and again, welcome!

Just went out for second motocross ride this year this past weekend, mud festival.

oh........you can't go wrong with Sidi Vortex's. Pricey and racy but UFB comfortable.

I can't take credit for how clean the bike is. That is exactly how it looked when I picked it up. I'll do my best to maintain that look, though!!
