Default Went for my first ride tonight!

So I ended up getting into a accident 2 months back which left me with a compression fracture in my L1 (thankfully I was not at fault) Im mostly all healed up and finally took my back brace off a week ago. Well I bought my 929RR yesterday and took her out for a late night ride.. and holy..****.. so much torque.

Shes like a docile monster.. but I had to see what she could do ended up hitting 75 in 2nd but im still taking her easy. But man she wants to go. My friend was driving besides me in his car he passed me and not even a big twist of the wrist and I was right there beside him again. Fuel injection is so worth it! The throttle response is so smooth!

Can I be hooked again? I think yes :P

Realized my right turn signal wont go on though.. Left one works fine lol Must be the switch or something because its alittle dodgy when I push it right. Any ideas? They are flush mount but I dont get a engaged light flashing when I push it right left works fine.

The 929RR is an alright bike. It spins up slow though and max power is too close to red line. They should have set max power to come around 9000 RPM.

The seat is way too high pushing your butt up and forcing your hands down to the bars with alot of pressure. Im currently in the process of figuring out how to make the seat height lower and also the pegs.

I knew you would put up this thread saying how much you like it!
It's better that just "alright." It's not the most impressive bike on the road these days, but they hold their own for a 12 year old bike and are better than most.

I find them VERY comfortable, but I'm probably taller than you. The seat height is perfect for me. I wish my pegs were higher though, that's just where I'm comfortable. New rear sets may be in order.

Glad you are liking it, Raptor!

Then its probably in the switch.
Do either the front or rear work on that side?

KK they work... I guess I wasent pushing it hard enough or somthing.. Odd.

Next question.. I do have a power commander 3 installed and when I cold started her.. She revved really high quickly and then back to idle without any input on the throttle.. ??

Good. Signals fixed, for now.

Not sure about your idle. Maybe something with your wax unit or coolant. The idle is high by default then the wax unit pulls it down as the coolant heats it up.

Yeah i noticed while i was sitting in the parking lot last night my temp kept going up and fast.. I thought my fan wasent working at first. But when i got home i asked my friend to put his head by the forks and see if he hears a fan and it was running because the temps were stabilizing..

It was weird but i felt the heat on my butt when i was in the parking lot and quickly took off to cool her down.
