ORIGINAL: BROOKLYN

The sargent seat is probly the the best money I spent on my bike. That stock seat made me feel like i was gang raped at the end of the day.
Which was worse, the seat or the gang rape? Sorry bro, you set yourself up for that one. Corbin leads the way!!!!

Anywho, So, TK, you got standups downpacked huh? I cant get the ***** for that yet. Just got sit downs downpacked. I want to stand but it feels so Awkward before I try it. Im 6'2",and I feel like im too tall to do it. It looks so easy to handly once up there though. Is that true?

I've had both the corbin and the sargent ... corbin now sargent on the 54... and the sargent was different in that it was actually comfortable. The corbin is softer but not quite as soft as the sargent.

Standups came really hard for me also. My friend got really awsome at them so i would watch him all the time, then i finally strated trying them, it was a really slow process, i just took baby steps. I was getting them ok after some time but not relly nearly as good as should have been, i was on both front pegs btw. Well by the end of the season i still didnt have them down, but one day we went out and goofed off, tried kneeling on the seat, standing on the seat, spreader etc. Well i realized i had the comfort to pick up my bike in 2nd gear being in just about any position i wanted on the bike, but stillfelt weird standing on both front pegs, so just for the hell of it i kicked down my rear peg and went staggered. It felt wrong, I am also 6' 2" and i just felt hunched up standing like that, but i grabbed a little cluch anyhow and brought it up about 2 feet or so, wasnt right, so grabbed a bit more and came up like 3 feet, noticed i started to straighten out a bit, so i rolled a bit more throttle, the bike got light fast and then bam it was 12 oclock and i was standing striaght up and it felt soooooo comfortable. So waved for my bud to speed it up, grabbed 4th gear and wailed on it again, its a really akward feeling bringing it up, but after a few times it was nothing, and once its up there its soooo easy, i feel like i can stand there all day, im upright, legs stretched out and comfy, it also makes it a ton easier for me to keep the back brake covered. So i guess i am saying just try it, to me it felt really akward, but once you get past the hump its gravy from there. Sorry for the long story, just wanted to try and put how it felt into words the best i could for ya, cause i think i know exactly how you felt.

ya you have to get used to standing up and the bike being on one wheel but it came to me pretty fast and seems easyer to get up most of the time.. just roll on the throttle about 75% and back off a touch bounce the suspension and get on it with a hand full of throttle and it will start to come up.. get used to it comming up and then worry about getting to 12 oclock because after 12.. it's all over

i would try it out because a k&n air filter is really not bringing any noticable air changes and a slip on muffler just has less packing so it has a different sound..

I put that exact tank pad on my girls F3.

Yeah it's decent temp out so I'm heading out to finish up my tank, upper and fender. Yay!

Doog, do whats comfortable. I know they say power wheelies are for "insert derogatory word here" but if you try it in 2nd gear and you prefer power up that is fine, with the added weight on the back peg it comes up really easy. I got so used to clutching i cant do it any other way, but i feel i have total control over how much i want to bring it up, so if you have that with powering just do it that way.

ya i can do either.. i do clutch wheelies on a liter bike in first gear! haha now that comes up quick but fun.. but i tired the foot on back peg and i didn't like it seemed to have more weight to one side and then you dont have control of rear brake so i tired on front pegs and bam i liked it
