Ok here is the story, I rode a wheelie for a little too long on my 02 954rr, now the engine knocks a little when revved up. Has anyone been successful with the replacement ofmain and rod bearings before, or should I go with used engine. Thank you for replys
Depending on what you spend on a used motor it is usually easier and faster to just slam a used one in. Unless you would like to do other engine mods? Good time to lighten the crank, stroke, rods, bore, pistons, undercut the trans?
A long wheelie and you have a knock? Wow not to be a smart *** but did you have oil in it? I used to ride wheelies all day for several miles and never had any issues. Just replace the engine with a used one, it will be cheaper and easier.
