i have almost 4k on my 2cts - i do alot of commuting and back road ripping as well
my front is going fine, rear will probably need to be replace towards the middle of summer.
i WILL be purchasing another set of michis though

Yeah. IIRC a comparo done by UK Bike magazine gave these top rating.
The shoulders have rubber as sticky as Pilot Powers and the centre as sticky as the old Roads. Those were made with silica infill so I presume the dual compounds have it as well. Good for wet weather grip as well as durability.
The only gripe I have about them compared with my D208RRs is that the rear is a little twitchy crossing white lines while heeled over and maybe not as good at dealing with the odd scatter of sand on bitumen - but it's just a feeling; no real brown pants moments.

If you get 3500 miles out of your tires ..... more power to you!
I'm using the Dunlop Qualifiers and I love them. It IS a sportbike, one of the better sportbikes. If you want a sportbike that doesn't eat thru tires you need an old FZR or maybe a Suzuki Bandit 600.
It's NOT a car. Thank God.
Also, I use Dunlops on all my bikes, always have, withvery good performance and durability. And Pirelli Scorpion for front MX tire, which performs great and seem to be holding up well. I have a lot of friends who run Michelin, and I plan on trying some for both MX and the 954 probably in 2009. The only tires I've heard truly suck are certain Kenda models and Cheng Shin.

Yes, Powers are good. Nice balance of grip and wear.
But don't can Dunlops publicly without telling us which model and how you rode them [:@]

well the qualifiers are the next step up from the 208's.....208's come stock on most of the bikes but they do suck...little to easy to drift in the turns with them and that can be very uncomfortable with alot of people that are not expecting it.
