Yeah, and if the dealer can't do it off the number, a lock shop should be able to re-tumbler the lock for MUCH less. It shouldn't take much to take that off yourself. I had ignition problems on my 99 Prelude with an immobilizer and I dealt with a dealer (quoted $1100 in electronics including ECU) and a lock smith who did it for 80 bucks. Just take your time and find the best, most cost effective route.

When I had mine done I removed the ignition took it to the locksmith and he read the last three digits and had the keys made in about 10 min.

Where is this number on the ignition? Also how do you remove those one way 8mm allen heads?

The numbers are by the pin that locks the handle bars.On those one way allen bolts I would remove the upper tripple clamps put in a vise and chisel them off.Then you can use regular allens to mount it all together.If anybody else has a different wayI would also like to know for the future of corse
