I found this bad *** picture of an 02 supercharged 954 before I actually owned a 954. I really would like to find that set up. I remember the price was about 4500. Other then the fact that there was a 5 inch area of fairing missing from the right side with a trick lookin compressor in the space, you reallycould not tell the bike was modified. I dont remember the performance gains,butI'm sure that they would be impressive. Just think of the instant power you would have at the twist of a wrist...No spooling or lag, just raw power!Got me all excited now[8D]

 

turbo on a liter bike... doesn't sound like a good idea. Me personally, I've had some interesting run ins with cold tires and spinning the rear tire while moving... I'm thinking a turbo won't help that... On top of that, I think you'd have to run race gas, cuz the compression would be crazy! I'd only turbo the bike if you plan on drag racing it...

 

Thanks for the info guys, and as far as buying a Busa, NEVER will that happen. I think that I will pass on the turbo for 5-6 grand.

 

If you are really determined, you can make a turbo for much cheaper. You just have to find an ebay or junkyard turbo from a small car and make custom pipes. You'll probably have to streetfighter or cut up your plastics, but it can be done. I'm pretty sure there are some formulas out there to figure out when the turbo would spool up...

Or you could just ride the crap out of an already fast bike...
