Me too, except for the one case of someone selling a 02 with a cracked block, but he never did confirm where it cracked or that it was even an 02.

Airtime, post some pictures of the crack if you can. They crack between the 1&2 or 3&4 cylinders, can't remember. All the 03's have cracked in the same place.

If you can email them to me, I'll post them for you. Otherwise you need to upload them to a photo sharing website, photobucket, and then post a link to them.

This is what I do when I'm on my iPhone......
If you have PhotoBucket in your app store download it. Create an account, and up load pics there. You just copy the image code and paste it in the chat box....

I have a 2003 954. got it in 2008 with 17000 miles. I now have 19500 and while riding home from work ,i stopped at a light and smelled antifreeze. tthought for sure it had to be the car behind me.Nope ! I got home and say coolant dripping from faring.I first thought it was the oil cooler, then i notice it running down from a crack in the block. The crack is about a 1/2 inch long on the right side. I dont abuse it ,or ride long to work. There was clean coolant, no warning before? It was a hot day, abut 90 f,and the fan was working. But the side that cracked dosnt have a fan! ?Im going to weld the crack as were I work we weld high tec material. Im also going to fab a bracket for another fan. I read some of the tags, and wanted to tell people that they do crack for whatever reason. thx guys.
