I have a 954rr and need to replace the clutch center basket I would like to know if the 22mm lock nut has right hand or left hand threads before trying to remove it?

 

Should be left to loosen like normal threads. After removing the lock nut you need the center clutch holder to be able to remove the center nut.

Do you have the service manual?

 

yes, I have a service manual but it didn't specify so figured it would be the norm. just wanted to make sure. I don't have a tool to hold the clutch so I'll make one at work. I'm still waiting on some parts to replace. thanks for the info.

 

I've taken mine off without using a center clutch holder.
