A clean 954 is a happy 954
I set my camera in front of my bike to show the process for draining coolant and removing hoses; I only have 45 minutes on the sd card it uses because my wife films the kids jumping and picking there noses. As soon as I start to drain the fluid, I wanted to reuse it because I just put it in there, the coolant ran everywhere; I call my wife over, "get this freaking camera out of here," I dont want to damage the camcorder, and this job is gonna take way longer than 45 min. I was leaking from damn near every connection: the water pump, the thermostat housing, the upper(right side) radiator hose. Newbies, dont, I repeat, do not just drain the coolant, and replace with with new coolant; I did this, and when I removed the hoses and flushed the radiator some nast crap came out. I took this time to clean the heck out of my engine (I mean new bike clean). If I have a leak after replacing these hose, you can bet Ill find it this time, without a doubt in my mind. Moral of the story= never just throw parts at your bike, and keep your engine as clean as those shiny rims; It will make your life a lot easier for you or your mechanic to find those pesty little leaks.
