ok- i installed a pc iii a few weeks ago and the bike is running awesomely. i rode it a couple of times to work and out since - no problems. earlier today i was riding and the red light came on. checked the oil and it was fine. let the bike cool off and the light went out. pulled out and the light came on in about 3 or 4 minutes it was right back on. i stopped for about 3 minutes and it went out again. started it up ran it easy for about 35 or 40 miles in 6th on highway and no light. sat for about an hour and as soon as i started it back up the light came on.

its not running hot...

any ideas??

 

what's the bike doin? hows it running?

did you get a custom tune? or did you run a map from the site?

 

I would count the blinks and get the error code.Then let us know and we'll try to fix it.Count the slow blinks and then the faster blinks.For example 3 slow and 5 fast blinks for code 35.

 

it still seems to be running strong. it is not sluggish or jerking or anything like that. i haven't had i custom map put on it yet, just loaded a map from the site. i didn't see the light blink at all. it just came on and stayed. i will check it out again this weekend.

 

the light does not blink. it just comes on and stays on. would that be considered error code 1?

 

The red light is the oil pressure light. It could possibly be that the map you loaded is too rich and flooding the lower end with fuel and thinning out the oil. I would change the oil and filter and go back to a stock map and see what happens.

 

thats the very same thing my bike is doing but its completly stock, no after market pc tuning at all
