further question about starting
I had a problem with starting after I had stopped for gas. That supports the issue that after the bike becomes warm, it will not start. Got assistance to push start, (which is a B**ch for a 900). I have taken out the ECU, starter and other switches (excluding starter switch) and they have all tested positive. I have not done the spark plugs.
When I go to start, I will get 2 to 3 tries with just clicking and those attempts, that few, will drive the battery down to 14% instantly. I have even used a new battery. I have dis-assembled the left side cover and had the wraps tested, they are positive.
Could this still really only be plugs ? If so, could someone send me the link for the shop manual so I can get them out properly. I have had most other electronic parts on the bike apart and tested outside of the starter switch (which I still took a look at) but I hear there is a resistor in near the push switch that if bad will foul things.
I think I am seeking plugs or some type of really bad "grounding" solution for this problem. Please advise.
