My friend works at talbot bike shop. He told me that a guy that works there put 04 cbr 1000 cams in his 954 he said that there a drop in gives you more top end. Have anybody ever heard of this can it be done he also said that you have to use the 1000 cam gears for the 954.

 

i cant say that i have heard of that.my question would be-is there any gains from 04 1k cams vs a set of slotted camshaft sprockets?(degreed into engine and set for high revs)
actually-i am in the process of installing slotted sprockets(to increase top end performance,low end will suffer-oh well!) and installing a pc3 along with a ignition module-in a attempt to hit the mid/upper 140's,and possibly 150's at the wheel!!
