OK, got my ebay slip on in the mail today and went to bolt on. Instead of a cone, mine had a smaller section of pipe spot welded to the inside of the exhaust flange. I cut it off with a cutoff wheel and the inner section of tubing rotates but won't pull out. I was able to bolt up the slip on no prob, but what is it, the cat? Can I pull it out? It is in the expanded section of tubing after the O2 sensor.

 

I think it is some type of baffle. I mangled it up really good but couldn't get it out. I think I'm gonna have to cut the tube and reweld it up.

 

i think the cat is in the stock muffler. Im not sure what is in the stock midpipe. I have a full erion racing exhuast. Screw the cali BS.

 

I am not sure either I have a full Hindle Titainum on mine and I sold off the stock parts. If I had to guess it is a pressed part that is why it will not come out.

 

i got it to where it will rotate but it still won't come out. a magnet sticks to the outside pipe, is it weldable with my MIG??

 

probably too thin. I would just try to get that resonator out. A tig would weld it.
