YES!!!! I had to timesert all four plugs in my last 954 because the previous owner helicoiled the plugs in, so I removed the plugs to replace them and the coils came out too. The timeserts have to be installed by a machine shop- preferably by a honda tech due to the lack of space between the valves they have to be done perfectly... The benefit however is that they are steel serts and you will never have the problem again. YES you MUST remove the head from the engine, so prepare for a head gasket set, (you will probably need a few head bolts also- they like to snap on removal) , valve cover gasket change, and you have to remove the cams and lifter shims and buckets. The honda dealer here only charged me $200 for the sert job, but its very time consuming and labor intensive.

People always over tighten these plugs (not saying you did) but the manual says to torque them to 9lbs. Remember these are aluminum heads... If you need to know anything about the job or process feel free to PM me. I did this about a year ago.
