I recently purchased a 954 from a buddy. I was told that he was riding it on the highway and all of a sudden it billowed out black smoke, died and hasn't restarted since. He is known to get on the throttle a bit. A lotta bit. Just wondering can anyone tell me what the issue is so I can fix it. Thank you.

 

Start at the fpr and go from there. Black smoke is from too much fuel. You may also have fouled plugs and fuel in the oil from the issue.
