I have been looking for a nice 954 for a while now and all i seem to find are total sheds or bikes of dubious parentage.... i live close to Manchester in the UK, do any of you UK owners know any '' secret '' web sites or places where i would stand a better chance of getting a nice bike ?

I'm not far away from you, over in Bolton. I don't think there's any particular place to buy a 954 - you just have to look everywhere! First thing I'd do, is an Ebay search and if nothing suitable comes up, "save" that search so that you are instantly notified of any new adverts/auctions.

Look on AutoTrader's website - there's sure to be one on there, but it's just a case of how far you're willing to travel. I got mine for £2000 (effectively) and it's an absolute beauty. I had to go 350 miles to collect it though :-(




I'm sure you'll find what you're after eventually. Now that Spring is approaching, there'll be more and more appearing for sale.

That is lovely, i know i may need to travel, but my issue is my job, i work shifts and finding the time quick enough to go and see it can be an issue, i did see one in Portsmouth !!! But it was at the top of the price bracket with no move on price and all the associated costs of transporting it back up here and getting down there to look at it. I will keep looking, i am in no hurry as my current bike is just fine, and as you say with spring coming i may be seeing a little more choice.
