Default Anyone have Heli Bars?

I'm thinking of getting some for my 954, but, I'm concerned that it may adversely affect the handling.

I rode a 98 900RR with Helis once, and I didn't care for it. But, I need to get some weight off of my
hands if I'm going to keep my 954.

So, those of you that have Heli Bars, what do you think?

Thanks.

Yeah, I just bought a 03' 954 with a sargent seat and heli bars. Added a honda seat cowl but that's it for so far...

As for my opinion about the heli bars... I originally wanted to take them off (before even trying them). The idea of raising the clip ons was just ridiculous to me. I'm typically about function over form, and would have added a full exhaust system instead of raised bars. From what I hear they are extremely expensive (upwards of $400+). After riding it I don't really have anything to compare since I haven't riden a 954 with stock bars in quite some time. All in all, I think they do not affect handling at all, I can rail on my RR and the agility it's just the same as my 01' F4i. I dig em!

From what I hear you have to replace the clutch cable and brake cables too, because the stock ones aren't long enough. So the guy I bought the bike from gave me all the stuff to bring the bike back to stock, even the stock cables! I also hear the labor is alot of fun! lmao
Good luck!
