I just installed an Akrapovic bolt on, non baffled version, so it is sold as though it is not meant for the street. Things sounds great at idle and louder than stock when on the street. My quesetion is this- Does anyone else out there run "non street" bolts ons and if so I wonder how much at risk I am from annoying everyone I drive by. I don't find it that loud, but don't want to be obnoxious to my fellow road users and towns I run through. How many bolt-ons out there are truely maked road legal. I know Akro makes a road legal and that Scorpion makes one as well. Thoughts or comments much appreciated.

you will be fine, unless you get a *** hole cop.. every exhuast is illegal becuase they are all louder then the stock DB level.. just leave it if you like it.. but get a PCIII and a custom tune

 

the only thing about putting exhaust on there is that you're going to get a lot of attention... whether you want it or not. Some people say "loud pipes save lives" but honestly you can't hear exhaust when you're in front of the bike most of the time anyway... I have D&D some people love it some people hate it but for me it's cool

 

as long as you dont showoff using the throttle around cops and such you shouldnt have a problem. harley riders dont give much care about being loud and they somehow get away w/ it.

 

right now my bike is completely open!!!-if a cop asks you about your exhaust-ask him/her
about the laws for open pipes on a harley!!!! now that i am thinking about it-used to have
loud *** harleys ride by during the late hours-so i finally got pissed-off enough to remove
to mid pipe and can from my bike-i did a burn-out(close to suspected area where theharleys in
question reside)ever since then,me& my best half,have not had a problem [sm=shades.gif]
