Default 954s overrated by honda??

honda rates 954 @ 155hp and 105 ft of tq...... isnt this at least slightly overrated... or are the american versions of these bikes just not as strong as the jap. version??? not trying to take anything away from these bikes i love mine just asking.

I may be wrong, but I believe that the HP is taken straight from the motor not from the rear wheel like most test on dynos test from.

+1, it's crank HP/torque.

I believe wheel HP typically comes in in the 130s.

+1 paseo 12, i believe that most stock 954's will dyno around 137, which is a 18 hp loss, which once the power goes through the gears and tranny, sounds about right to me.
