Guys i was hoping to get your input on buying a used 2003 954 or a 2004 1000. Im just wondering if the differences are that noticeable to warrant paying the extra for a 1000 as it seems like i can get a better deal on the 954. Im stepping up from a 600 F4.

hey i am a big fan of the 954rr the fell of it,power how it corners,i tell myself ill never get anything differnt,so since i have never ridden a 1000rr i cant say either our,but go with the 954.

 

The August SuperBike mag has an article about this very thing... And they say the same thing.. The 954 is almost as good as the 1000.. So if you don't have to have the latest and greatest stick with the 954...

 

i also heard that honda is trying to make the 1000rr the same as the 954rr,they say the 954 is the best bike they ever built.

 

I couldn't agree more... it is the best bike ever built by ANYONE...

 

i have to agree with them that the bikes are almost the same but i think handling wise the 1000 rr is a bit better, expecially for the track plus u get the nice honda steering dampner which is really good, if the price is the same i would say go for the 1000 rr cuz of the extra stuff but honestly there pretty much the same and u cant go wrong either way.
