i was riding my 954 not dicking around and as i shifted from first to second the throttle stuck wide open on me and the bike came over on me i spent a week in the hospital and 4 moths out of work i am currently rebuilding the bike and while working on the bike i took the Throttle bodies off becasue they were still stuck wide open i could not for the life of me figure out why so i took them to the local performance shop (DAS performance in dracut MA) and the owner pointed out to me that the tab for the closing spring had broken off and that was why my throttle snapped wide open on me. has that ever happened to me of has anywhone ever herd of that happening or is it just my ****ty luck? james catchup2me954rr@yahoo.com

 

I haven't heard of that happening to anyone but anything is possible. If you need a throttle body I have a spare laying around. let me know.

 

too bad you didn't just pull in the clutch and hit the key ignition to off real quick?

that sucks, i am sorry to hear that, that never did happend, but one time i was doing a stan up wheelie on the highway, 70MPH and i got almost to the balance point and my glove got the caught somehow on the throttle and kept opening it up and i was getting higher and higher, luckly before i went to far over i got my glove unstuck and i close the throttle A ROUGH landing but better then goin all the way over
