Default 954 riders and everyone else

today my buddy went for a ride to the skate park on his 954. he did a wheelie and then went around a slight turn. he straightened out fine after the curve and about 50 feet later his front end started jumping and he lost all ability to steer. he locked up brakes and threw the bike on its side and he slammed into a car.

Im clueless to what possibly could have happened has anyone ever heard of a similar thing happening? his bike is an unstunted minty 954 completely clean and never been laid down except after today. and if it means anything his headlights have been flickering on and off at will.

Locking up the brakes is always a bad idea.

could have been gravel, could have been oil that was on the road, could have been a lot of things. i don't think it has anything to do with the wheelie or the bike, and it certainly doesn't have anything to do with the electrical (flickering could be loose contact).

Sounds like Head shake to me....If he was on the throttle after the corner. The 954 went "light" up front and caused the front to start slapping the bars. And/or his head bearings were in need of service.

I'll agree with "his head bearings were in need of service"

It is operator error 99.999999% of the time. 100% of my wrecks were operator error.
