I clutch 1st and rock it all day long, and i can only get 2nd up like 1 outa 10 lol (sitting down) and 3rd gear is a joke at this point. But its definately technique, when 2nd does come up for me it snaps quick, right to bp, and i can ride forever.

I find that clutching on 1st give me more longivity because .. i get it up at such a low revolution that i can keep accelerate while still keeping it up .. but for some reason i can't do the same thing on second gear .. did i mention the bike is fully stock .. maybe an upgrade would help ??

it's a 954... just give it a little more gas if u can't clutch it in second... you are prob not giving it enough power

mine powers it up in second with no effort at all, if i have a almost empty tank of gas i can clutch it up in third, thats with stock gearing.

let me sum this up "if you cant bring a second or third gear wheelie up on the 954, then it is operator error." in second u need to give it more gas! third is different, if u come down in second u can be in excess of 120 mph. u can stand a 3rd up at 100mph, i gave my 954 a lil bounce, alotta throttle, and a poped clutch. never had a reason for doin it in 4th(and im sure on my stock gearin it could be done.) cuz i would have to find myself doin atleast 130. if you cant get it up in 2nd u need more practice cuz its not the bike its u(i could rock stand ups on my f2 wit stock gearing no problem). 2nd is alot smoother than 1st tho, while doin wheelies in first u need damn near perfect throttle control.

i never clutch first but second i can pop the clutch and pull up at 3k rpm and as for third i have to get in the power band and really pop the clutch and pull up hard to get it up...i am about 235lb...but if you want to learn wheelies you just have to let them ***** hang and just do it...

OR........ if you actually want to be around to ride...... learn how to ride and wheelies will come natural... wheelies and to "say" you went 200mph is not that impressive when you are dead
