2002 954RR Parts/questions help please
I'm looking for suggestions on a new chain and sprocket set. I ride back and forth to work about 40 miles a day plus fun time, so I need to find something that is going to last.
Brake pads are do to be changed wondering of the Kevlar are ok to go with and does brand matter, I don't ride to crazy...
Looking for a good fork seal kit ( dust boots too)
Last and not least is a seat questions... When I bought my bike used the seat was not bolted down or have anything type of closing latch. Need some type of fix and place to get these parts.
Open for suggestions on a FULL BODY KIT and anything else that should be addressed for a bike with 20k miles on it.

Thanks!!

Drivers seat should just have 2 bolts holding it down at the back of the seat. They go through tabs on the back of the seat pan directly into holes on the sub frame. Hope this helps and good luck. I have a stock rear sprocket and chain with a -1 (15 tooth) sprocket on the front and it runs great.
well, as far as chain and sprocket - what do you mean by last? all chain combos last considerably long times for the price they are and how often you need to change them.
the cheapest (and best IMO - but i may be a lil biased) is a 520 combo. they should last 10-15k if you take care of it.
525 will last longer and it's still lighter than stock - but not quite as light as a 520. should be able to get 15-20k easily - again - if you take care of it.
530 is what stock is - i think it's overkill - you'll most likely be done with your 954 by the time that thing wears out.
if you want it to really last - get a steel rear sprocket as well. and if you get the x-ring chain, there's absolutely no need to go with a 530 - but they are much more expensive than o-rings chains.
i run a 520 with an aluminum rear sprocket and o-ring chain - and i have no complaints. but then again, i don't consider a chain lasting less than 15k miles "short lived", and i take care of my stuff.
as far as brake pads - i put double H sintered pads in my fighter - and the repsol i have has the kevlar ones in it - and the HH cost 2x as much and i haven't noticed a difference on the street. so i'd get cheap pads of ebay and use those any day of the week.
just stay with OEM fork seals. you can get them on ronayers.com . no dust boots
as far as full body kits... try cbrfairings.com i got my repsol fairings from them. they're reasonably priced, fit is pretty good, - but they are china fairings - and remember that the plastic is different and is not as durable as oem fairings would be. another option is finding your body kits on ebay.
