A week or two away... Still waiting patiently here in Iraq

 

Iraq is the easy stage, the 2-3 days youll spend in Kuwait sucks.....right along wit the day long flight home. then the next few hours when you get to home station.......

 

had a friend come home recently
he had to spend 2 weeks in tx getting debreifed....

he said that sucked

 

ACTUALLY. I go straight from Alasad on a civilian bird that is military contracted back to the states. They started doing that recently but it has to be a company sized element. However it is ALOT better than sitting in Kuwait waiting on a flight because lord know they aren't in a hurry over there. My demobilization should only take a week at the most, but Indiana has beer and chicken wings SO WATCH OUT! can't wait.
Now we have to do stupid ceremonies, get our medals and awards. And then get smoke blown up our rear by some full bird about how good of a job we did. But it is all good as long as I'm on the way out the door.
