When I was doing research before my purchase, I called my insurance agent (State Farm) and got a quote of $300 every 6 months or $50 per month. Full coverage, $500 deduct collision. I'm 43, no points, three vehicles ('94 Corolla & '92 Nissan 240SXSE) including the 954.

24, clean record, I pay ~1000 per year full coverage (depending on when I turn it on/off) for the bike. I have State Farm with the 954, CB360, Subaru Forester XT, and renters insurance. I pay a lot...

I'm 27, married, and have my house and vehicles through State Farm. I just bought a 954 and was quoted today @ $20.54/month full coverage with a $500 deductable. I also have a 94 FZR600 same coverage @ $14.23/month. I may have one speeding ticket on the record.

We'reusing Progressive for my SUV, car and 2 street bikes. The 954 is $100 per year, but I only have liability + theft coverage. The full coverage would have been at least $500 per year. Check w/ Progressive first. I wouldn't go with State Farm, they screwed thousands of people after Hurricane Katrina. I hope they rot in hell.

Oh, I'm 36 and married.

Sounds like the $700/year I'm paying through Allstate (full coverage) is fairly reasonable. Not a smokin' deal by any means, but at least reasonable.

Thanks guys!

I was paying 98.75 a month for full coverage through state farm. I was single no tickets, accidents, claims and that was also 2 cars and renters policy. I just had to make a claim through state farm a couple of months ago when the wife hit a pot hole blew out 3 rims/tires and cracked bumper when wheel bottomed out into bumper, needless to say my insurance on my cars jumped 70 a month and we have no tickets or claims ever and I'm 23 she's going to be 22 in june. Screw state farm they suck! Been with em since 2005.

I'm 39. I have both vehicles (04 impala, 04 colorado) with full coverage, my homeowners, life insurance policy, and my bike all through the same company called Kemper Insurance. I have 1 seat belt ticket on my license and took the defensive driving program that removes 4 points from your license and gives a 10% insurance reduction. I have full coverage with a 500 deductable. I paid... are you ready for this?... $113.00 for the whole year for my 02 954. I live in central new york.

Believe me. State Farm has the cheapest insurance for Sportbikes. They go by CC's (engine size), not the type of bike. Most sportsbikes are black listed with other companies because of some idiots going out and buying their 17 year old kids a graduation present and then he wraps it arounda light pole.

They all go by cc's. It doesn't matter how new/old the bike is all it matters is the cc. I checked price difference between 96 900rr and a 2006 900rr (since all they go by is cc) and the price difference for a brand new bike (at the time) was like 1.75 a month or something stupid like that. State farm doesn't always have the lowest either, each year companies have a goal on policies and manytimes some companies drop insurance prices just to get plicies. Allstate was doing it
