02 - 03 steering stem compatability

02 - 03 steering stem compatability
My question is regarding the compatibility of putting a sterring stem from an "03" 954 into an "02" 954.
The "02" has roller bearings and the "03" has ball bearings.
Can this be done using the same upper and lower race?
Any info is greatly appeciated.
