Where is Starter solenoid
guys, i read in my manual that if the HISS (Honda Imobiliser Security System) was disconnected that it would then be IMPOSSIBLE to start your bike. this is bad news for me because recently i removed my alarm as it shorted out and caused all kinds of problems. now i'm left with a brown with white stripes and a green with white stripes wires with a black connector on the end that isnt connected. is that for anything significant? does anybody know where that supposed to go? its under the seat near the negative side of the battery. bike isnt kicking over, its priming and everything, but it just wont kick. also, where is the starter solenoid? i need to find it because i know the alarm was connected to that. and help guys?
i dont know what it is for but both of my 929's do not have that plug conected to anything oh yeah my last one erion was the same so that is 3 bikes with out it conected. hope this helps and did you test the battery.
the wire your refering to is a service check connector , and is not suppose to have anything connected to it. used with a jumper wire to each terminal it will reset (erase) the self diagnosis memory (mil light on guage)...
yeah stang 54 is right i was curious when i first bought the bike and looked it up and say its for a hook up to a diagnostic tool which i firgured had one just new to the bike so was curious as well
