Default when do you change spark plug wires?

How do you know if your spark plug wires are bad and need to be changed? Also anyone know approximately how much they cost?

i would change them when you bike starts misfiring or if you just want to keep maintence up for that just incase factor.... if thats the case just change them when you change you plugs.. sometimes you can find them new on ebay, or maybe bikebandit.com or the dealer. dunno about aftermarket ones. but personally i would change them untill your bike starts to misfire and it isnt the plugs.

i cant really explain that, hearing and feeling a "skip" in engine for me is just natural. you feel that it isnt running right, if it is bad enough you will have a dead cylinder. which mean no spark to the fuel in that particular one, it seems to jump andhave no power... could always use a spark tester. they should have them for sale at your local auto parts store. less than$20 and you can visually see it spark... sorryif this wasnt much help..

I'm changing my wires soon. I'm looking at the online oem stores, but find it stupid expensive for each cable and the caps all separate.

Can someone point me in the right direction. Can't you just get them like car ones that its all one piece and plug and play??

Thanks peeps.
