whats the highest temp your bike should get
So i started my bike today for the first time since fall. Started up perfect. i was just letting her run for about ten min when i looked at the temp and she was at 215F. Normally i dont get the hot unless its mid summer and im running hard on a hot day. I think it might be my fan not turning on but i didnt want to risk to see how high sh would get so i just turned it off. I thought a safe temp was 175-195 and the fan should kick in after 200F. Anybody know what the temp normally should be?

If it just sat there with no air circulation blowing past it then it is possible for it to reach 215*F, unless the air temp is 10 below zero or something. My fan #1 doesn't come on until 217*F and 223*F for fan #2. Different model bike but 215*F and no fan motion doesn't mean something is broken.

I believe on my 929 the fan kicks on at 225 F and brings it back down to 215 F. I was troubleshooting some other issues a few weeks ago and had it idling in the driveway for 20 to 30 minutes at about 70 F outside. I've found that normal temp while riding is 175 to 185 ish so you're right on there. I don't believe there's a problem with 215 and no fan yet. Let it get to 225 and see if it comes on then though, if not then there may be a problem with the fan, temp sensor, faulty connector.
