So i may have a chance to trade my 03 636 for an 01 929 Erion. My question to every one else is what was their bike before. Do you think its worth it? Lets not jump on the Honda bandwagon and say yes just because its a Honda. I have owned my share of them and like them. Just want every ones input.

I have got to test the bike out but it was dropped 4 inches and a couple in the front. Absolutely hated it. Part of the trade deal would make it back to stock height before they got mine (they will be lowing it because the girl is super short). Cosmetically its good. They had it tip over and there are a couple scratches on the right fairing but nothing major. Only 12k on the clock and seemed to run great with everything looking good and sounding good.

Let me know your opinions.

Had a 68 custom sporty that I rebuilt. Sold it to complete my ground up chopper. Still have it.
Then bought my first 929. Put 80k on it then wrecked it. Managed to pick up my current 929 off a buddy that couldn't do the work it needed.

There was a gixxer before all that.

Love my 929.

 

A 1996 Yamaha YZF600. Great bike, easy to ride, only 27k km on it. Part trade on my 929 that I just got.

Before that, in order from 'oldest' to most recent:

1980 Honda CB650
1999 Kawasaki ZRX1100
2005 Kawasaki Z750

Then the YZF. I rode a 1993 Honda RS125 GP bike as a track bike for a bit. I will always, always have a soft spot for 2 strokes.

 

2003 Yamaha R1 Yellow and Black. Second gear slipped a lot...

 

Before the 929 was my '98 CBR f3. Fantastic motorcycle. In hind sight I wish I would have kept it and made it into a track bike.
