Default Tyres

Hi,been lurking for a while so heres my first post. What tyres do you use and how do rate them.I,ve had the 929 for a couple of years now and I use Bridgestone 014s.I rate them very highly but they dont last very long, the set on at the mo has done 1100 miles and there finished.I know soft tyres equal fast wear rates just wondering what other people use and there thoughts on other tyres.

I have been running Bridgestone BT12SS and I love them. They ride great and have lasted a long time.

I'll contribute..........Dunlop 208ZR's.....good street tire, OK track tire, no longer made. Dunlop Q's......good street tire but wear quite fast, stick like hell on the track though.........Pirelli Diablo Corsa.....sticks great at track, wears quick anywhere. Pirelli Diablo.......good street tire, rear wont hold up to a liter bike very well in corners but will wear great..........Pilot Powers, seem to make a great street tire, probably OK for the track . (A friend just highsided his R1 with Powers on) but in the end they are a street tire and all have their limits when track riding with a big power bike. The Powers seem to wear nice for as sticky as they are. Metzler M1's.......wear great.......stuck like **** on the track.........

These are the tires I've come across and as always.......wear and how well they stick will vary with rider/bike combo. Buy some and try them out.

Thanks for the replies, I,ve only used bridgestones, lately the 014,s they have never let me down on any of the uk roads I,ve used them on.My friends have used various tyres and have always gone back to bridgestones. Its not the expense of the tyres that bugs me i,ts the hassle of changing the wheels out.
