I would definately suggest you take the bike in for a tune up and get 'er back to square one.

I've owned a 2000 929 for a few weeks now. I rode it for a little over 300 mi and 4 days when it started stumbling off the line. In the next day it progressed to a much more pronounced stumbling and bumbling untill about 5k rpm then it would cleen up and launch. Very frustrating to ride. I took it to the shop and it was the ecm, the good side to this is if you live in Ca. it is covered in the emissions warranty. 5 years or 18,641mi. Good luck

Does it have an aftermarket exhaust? If so that could be your problem and you might need to install a PCIII
