Default Starting issues after engine change

I've just had to replace me engine on my RR1 after a highside last year. I've got the engine in and everything appears to be connected up correctly, got the airbox and tank on ready to start it but all the engine is doing is turning over?
When i turn the ignition on, i don't hear anything - i'm sure i used to hear the fuel pump or the exhaust servo or something when i turn the key but now there's nothing. It's turning ok but doesn't even feel like it's going to start.
Should i be able to hear the fuel pump prime or something when i put the igntion on?
Also, my clocks display is going on and off when the bike is turning over - is this normal as i can't remember it doing that last year when i was last on it?
Cheers

You've made a booboo somewhere.
Start checking connectors, make sure everything is plugged in where it should be.

sound like the battery is weak. FI needs a good 12v solid . do a good trickle charge , then try..

Check for power at the pump. Check fuses. After that then you can go more in depth. There are only a few reasons a fuel pump wont kick on.
1. bad connection/or not plugged in
2. blown fuse
3. faulty pump
4. low battery voltage

Been trying everything and still no joy - checked all the connections, checked the relays, had the battery on a good charge, no fuses blown. tested the fuel pump and it's working fine and still no luck

ok so try this. With the key on check the wiring for the fuel pump and see if you have good power and good ground. Make sure its all connected to the wiring harness. If you have good power and good ground and its not running with it all connected theres a good chance the pump itself is shot. take the pump out and use a spare battery and jump the + and - and try and make it run. I would do that anyways just to make sure the pump is good. Other than that ur going to have to look for a bad wire or possible pcm problem

well somehow after checking everything and testing pumps, relays, etc the bike has started yippee
so it's all back together and now looking like this - the only thing is i've lost the right hand side inner fairing panel and the glass from the left mirror
