My 929 key is about to give out and I don't want to use the spare that came with the bike. Anyone know where to get a good Honda key blank??? Doing some research online, I can't tell what Honda blank I need.There is a tag with 8 numbers on my spare key. Is that the code I need to have the blank re-keyed???

 

I have always had great luck with getting keys made at my local Ace Hardware store, all of my bikes including my 929.

 

most hardware stores dont have the key blanks though have you went to the local dealer to c if they have a key blank?

 

You can get the blank from any Honda dealer...local or online

I was thinking about getting one of those retractable key fobs, but after looking at the functionality of it, I didn't want some huge thing sticking out with the key in the ignition.
