once it dies from pulling it straight up will it immediatly start back up when you put it on the kickstand or do you have to turn the key off then back on again??? If you have to cycle the key than it is most likely your tilt sensor malfunctioning.(made to kill the motor when you lay the bike over.) Never ran into one of them going bad but it could be possible. If its not that i would have to guess it is a electrical connecttion loose somewhere. It would be impossible to diagnose that over the forum.

Let us know about the sensor.
