Scotts Damper Service
I just bought a used Scotts damper this past weekend, and I was wondering if anyone has ever had theirs serviced. If so, is it worth it and how much does it run?? Thanks for any insight to this that someone might have.
If you can manually move the piston, it needs serviced. If it is adjustable, set it to the medium setting (middle) and you should just be able to move it with your hands.
In all honesty, unless it's just trashed, it should still work wonders. Install it, come hard out of some corners and see what you think. If you get any kind of shake, adjust it (if so equipped). Try again. If it still has play no matter what the setting, have it serviced.
P.S. Yours is junk, I'll buyit for $25...

ha ha NICE! I think I'll hang on to it for a little while!
Thanks for the offer though and the information. I can move the piston some with my hands, but it is difficult. I might look into getting it serviced down the line. Thanks!
